Better Business Bureau’s main motto is to “Start with Trust”. That being said, what does trust mean to you? Trust is confidence in or dependence on a person or quality. BBB’s main goal is for customers to choose a business that is believed to be good and honest and will not harm you, or that something is safe and reliable by the ‘BBB Rating” provided on the website. To have a high score in the BBB ranking your company is doing high quality work that you stand behind with your word if something was not done right you would redo it.

Winter is coming to an end and the spring season is starting. Not only does this mean blooming of pretty flowers and the warmth of the sun. The snow is melting and flood season will begin. The community of house owners will start having roof leaks and even roofs caved in due to the weight of the snow. Individuals with these roofing issues are looking for businesses that they can trust to fix their house correctly so the same problems do not reoccur. For instance, Montana State University two gym roofs collapsed from the weight of snow pilling do to the snow storm the occurred for days nonstop. The University has to take action fast to fix the roofs of these gym buildings before the incoming students come next fall.

Good thing there are many BBB accredited construction businesses. A great trustworthy business of Helena, MT that can help with these roof issues is Aspen Contracting, Inc. This corporation has been in business for thirteen years and has been accredited since September 1st, 2007. Better Business Bureau gives a business an overall rating that reflects BBB’s opinion about the entire organization interactions with its customers, including interactions with local locations. After I graduate High School I will be attending University of Montana Western. My first goal is to earn my AAS in Business with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. I plan to be involved in Business clubs offered at University of Montana Western to expand my knowledge and personal abilities such as leadership, public speaking, marketing. ect. By being involved in these clubs mentors and fellow students will help me broaden my horizons for a future in the business world. After completing my Bachelors at University of Montana Western I would like to be an entrepreneur and start my own business such as clothing, outdoor recreational, or photography.
List and explain any awards received related to academic achievement
I placed 2nd in Buying and Merchandising Operations Research at state for DECA which gave me an opportunity to compete at Nationals in Orlando, Florida.

I have been given the opportunity of being the Civic Vice President of Jobs for Montana Graduates (JMG). I also carry the secretary role in Business Professionals of America (BPA). I was given these role because of my strong professionalism, leadership and organization skills.
Describe at least three school-related extra-curricular activities
Throughout my four years at Helena High School I have received a good education to help accomplish my future goals after I graduate. I have always been a determined and self – motivated individual to gain more knowledge in areas that interest me. By gaining more knowledge about business I became involved in organizations such as DECA, BPA, and JMG. These organizations have essentially helped me learn more about the business world and what skills it takes to be successful. Having strong skills like time and project management, communication, marketing skills, leadership, and problem solving skills is very important. Not only did these clubs help me learn valuable skills, they also gave me many volunteer and community service opportunities. I have volunteered at Special Olympics, Festival of Trees, Out of the Darkness Walk, NAMI Walk, Empty Bowls, Food Share, and so many more. I have also helped organize projects to help give back to the community such as making Thanksgiving and Christmas Baskets to give to families in need, making cancer awareness t shirts to help raise money for cancer research, reading to younger kids at elementary schools, creating a warm coat drive to help the homeless people in the Helena area, used car raffle to raise money for Toys for Tots, and making knot blankets for the children at Shodair Children’s Hospital. Of course there’s more volunteer opportunities I happily participated in but these are just some of my favorites that made a big impact to the community. I really do enjoy giving back to the community and seeing everyone’s smiling faces when my friends and I help make a difference in the community.
Explain at least one leadership role that you have held
Through my involvement with the school and the community and school a teacher recommended to the school for me to become a Link Crew Leader my incoming senior year. My role as a Link Crew Leader was to tell incoming freshman about the high school, encourage them to get involved in clubs that interest them, and see how they are doing in classes throughout their first year at Helena High School. I put a big emphasis on getting involved in the school and community to the incoming freshman in my group because I truly believe that being involved in the school in many different ways helped me grow so much as a student and person overall. I want other students to experience what I did and pursue what they love and not lose interest in it. Gaining the skills and friendships with the community are things no one can lose as time goes on after they graduate. Im climbing a mountain of success, there will be some bumpy patches but I can use the skills I have learned to help my college experience be just as successful.
